April is National Volunteer Month. At St. Francis Friends of the Poor, we’re celebrating our incredible friends who dedicate their time and talents to supporting our mission. Together, we can provide a permanent home and supportive community, across our three residences, for formerly homeless New Yorkers living with serious mental illness.

Recently, our friends from the office of Eric Schmidt volunteered at Residence 2. They distributed everyday essential items like disinfectant wipes, shower caddies, toothbrushes, and laundry bags. The day was filled with gratitude – tenants expressed warm thanks for items they not only needed but wanted and loved!
